Sunday Morning Zen Meditation includes periods of seated and walking practice and a traditional Zen chanting service which includes chanting of the Heart Sutra, the Ten-Verse Life-Prolonging Kuan Yin Sutra, the Four Bodhisattva Vows, the Verse In Praise of Water and a chant honoring the venerable Ch'an Ancestors.

SPECIAL EVENT: TEMPLES OF EASTERN CHINA WITH SHIH YING-FA

ADMISSION: $5.00 or donation.
Venerable Shih Ying-Fa, Abbot of CloudWater Zendo, will document his recent journey to eastern China where he visited a total of ten eminent Buddhist temples. Most of the temples Sifu visited date back to the Tang Dynasty and are considered national treasures. These temples were influential in the spread of both general Buddhism and Ch’an Buddhism. They include the famous Jinshan Monastery in Zhenjiang, where Sifu’s great-grand teacher served as Abbot.
All proceeds from this presentation will be donated to the Cleveland Homeless Stand Down, a one-day event providing access to resources for individuals and families facing poverty and homelessness.
Refreshments will be provided, there will be several periods of Qigong to allow us to stretch out, and there will be opportunities for Q & A and discussions. We look forward to seeing you at this unique event.
