Sunday Morning Zen Meditation includes periods of seated and walking practice and a traditional Zen chanting service which includes chanting of the Heart Sutra, the Ten-Verse Life-Prolonging Kuan-Yin Sutra, the Four Bodhisattva Vows, the Verse In Praise of Water and a chant honoring the venerable Ch'an Ancestors.

Workshop: "Writing the Name of the Buddha" with Venerable Shih Zhongxin

Copying verses from Sutras and other sacred texts is a venerable meditative practice. In this workshop, we will learn to write the Chinese character for Buddha. Once learned, we will copy the name of the Buddha as a meditative experience. Please RSVP at yingfa@cloudwater.org. Free, donations appreciated.
