Zen for Greater Canton/Akron
Serving Stark and Summit Counties, our Canton/Akron affiliate meets with Ven. Shih Zhong-Xin at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greater Canton at 2585 Easton St. NE, Canton. on the first three Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. with instruction for beginners at 6:30 p.m. The Dharma Discussion Group meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Room 103 of the Belden Village Glass Tower, 4450 Belden Village St. NW in Canton. Resident Instructor: Ven. Shih Zhong-Xin
Golden Wisdom's Resident Instructor began practicing in 2000, was ordained as a Shramanera in 2004, and will take the 250 Vows of the Fully Ordained in 2009. Zhong-Xin worked in high school and middle school counseling for 31 years. She is a frequent lecturer at CloudWater Zendo and gives presentations to colleges, high schools and spiritually oriented groups in the greater Canton/Akron area.
